Short: Great game in Hack, Moria, ... style
Type: game/role
Home Brew Software, Inc., a non-profit software group, is pleased to
announce the availability of Amiga Hack Lite version 2 (plays great! less
killing!). Hack Lite 2 is a dungeon adventure game, in the noble tradition
of Rogue, Hack, Larn, Moria, NetHack and, of course, Hack Lite version 1.
High points of Hack Lite 2 include:
* Automated installation process.
* Customizable graphical dungeon display. Character-mode support is also
available. Supports both NTSC and PAL.
* Amiga- and Workbench-friendly. Supports mouse, icons and menus.
Compatible with AmigaDos 1.3 and 2.0.
* Preferences-style configuration editor for defining default options.
* Supports multiple configurations on the same machine.
* Plays comfortably in 1 meg. A "limited" game is also provided which
will play in 512K, minus some features.
* Challenging, but not impossible to win. No "spoilers" necessary.
"Immortal mode" allows inexperienced players to encounter the deeper
levels.
* "Tournament mode" allows several players to compete for the highest
score playing the same dungeon.
* Many new objects, traps, monsters and ways to die added since the first
version.
* Saved games are much smaller. This means, playing from floppy, you can
actually save from the lowest levels!
* Smaller, faster and less complicated than NetHack.
* Funnier than Moria.
* Still infinitely addictive.
"He who Hacks Lite, Hacks Best!"
